Homecoming Week

September 25th...
Wacky Day...
Those are my softball socks from high school ;)

September 26th...
Hat Day...

September 27th...
Dress like your parent does when they go to work...
Keith's co-workers said that the only thing missing was a coffee mug. So true!

Just wish I would've gotten a picture of him with Keith. Never even thought of it.

Haulin' Bales

September 23rd...

Keith asked me to come to the farm to help haul round bales in from the field. The girls and I were about to jump in Grandpa's truck when this guy came cruising into the yard...

What a proud lil' farmer!

Morgan watched Daddy unload the bales with the skid loader...

ECFE

September 20th...

Chloe is going to ECFE on Monday nights. She calls it 'school' and just loves it! It's for 3-5 year olds so Morgan gets to go to childcare. She's in a seperate room and thinks she is going to school too. ;)
Best Buds! MaKenna LeGare and Chloe
And for those that don't know... ECFE stands for Early Childhood Family Education.
I've had several people look at me funny when I say, "We have ECFE tonight."

Out Cold

September 16th...

Surprise, surprise... Morgan fell asleep in a not-so-comfy-looking position. Notice the baby doll between her legs? I promise I moved her after I took the picture... didn't want drool all over the carpet. ;)

Pumpkin Pickin' at the Farm

September 16th...
The annual Beranek Pumkinfest was held at the farm this year. Since the
new shed was built last year, Keith started a new patch because they had
more room. It was also easier to water it there since it's next to the shop.
The grandkids... minus Alec

Morgan and Aaron

Jared, Brianna and Chloe in the pumpkin patch

Morgan's pumpkin. I told her it was a gourd and she said, "No! Punkin!"

The supervisors... Claire, Grandma Patty and Isabel

There were lots and lots of pumpkins to pick!

Chloe liked the little ones... like her ;)

This is what I get when I say smile for mommy.

Ashlyn and Chelsey (and Baby Franta)

Roger is very proud of his watermelons. That thing is huge!

Baby Bell... what a cutie-pa-tootie!

U.G.S.

August 21st...

I forgot to post the pics from our visit to United Grain Systems in Brownton. It's UFC's newest facility and it is absolutely amazing. Employees and their spouses were invited to take a private tour before it opened on September 12th. Farmer or not, it always amazes me at how something like that is designed, built and operated. It has a capacity of 3.6-million bushels of grain (corn or soybeans). Whoa! Four 550,000 bushel steel bins, a 550,000 bushel concrete warehouse and a 1.2 million bushel mechanized grain pile. That's a whole lotta grain!
Standing inside one of the 4 massive steel bins
This is where they load the train cars.
One of the mechanized grain piles.
They are capable of loading 110-car unit trains. They should be able to
load 440,000 bushels of corn or beans in eight hours or less. Insane!

Here is an aerial photo from the UFC website.

They have a ton of pictures of the whole construction process.

Farm Girls

September 15th...

It was Family Farming Day! All 5 of us helped Grandpa Roger in the field. Morgan & I ran
the grain cart, Chloe & Keith hauled loads and Jared & Grandpa Roger combined corn.
It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun!

What a ham! That is a true Moe-Moe face. Love it!!!

Thumbs up! Chloe's turn to ride with mom.

Gymnastics

September 14th...

The girls started gymnastics at NUAGA on the 7th. They absolutely love
it and get super excited when I get to daycare and tell them it's time
to get dressed for class. They are especially cute in their little leotards
that they got from the Brennans. Gotta love hand-me-downs!
Lined up on their 'feet' and ready to go! Yay!
Cheese!
MaKenna LeGare is in the class too and they are always excited to see each other.

Harvest Festival 2012

September 9th...

Keith and I were co-chairs of our church's fall festival this year. It was a lot of work but it was a great day. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and lots of people came to enjoy it all, especially the polka music by The Wendinger Band. Here's a video of the girls dancing (or running) around...

Second Grade

August 28th...

First Day of School
No bussing so I got to drop him off.
September 4th...

The annual morning photo shoot of the first day of bussing. Since NUACS starts early,
we don't get bussing until Public starts. Hence my strange description of the day. ;)
Chloe was NOT in the mood to pose for a picture so this was as good as it got.

Morgan wanted her own picture with
her big brother. Much better smiles!
We were ready with plenty of time to spare so I got to snap a bunch of pictures
of my very proud second grader. The light at 6:40am was better than I expected!

Here comes the bus!

Have a great day!!!
