Ultrasound - 21 weeks

We went in for the routine ultrasound this afternoon. Keith, Jared and I got to see the little munchkin. Everything looked great! He/She was not very cooperative... the tech had a hard time getting some of the measurements. Lots of movement going on in there! 

The measurements were right on with the due date so everything is right on schedule. The heartbeat was around 140... it was hard to get because he/she kept wiggling around. 

Jared wasn't really into the whole deal... he was more interesting in the slimy stuff they put on my belly. I think he was a little jealous of not having all of the attention that he's used to... he'll have to learn quickly! We should have the results from the radiologist in a few days.

We got the pictures put on a CD this time instead of the usual print outs. So much easier to share! Here are just a few. Most of the others are hard to interpret.

3rd Anniversary

Today was our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. How time flies! We didn't do anything too special... just had a nice roast beef and mashed potato supper (family favorite!) at home. Keith didn't feel the greatest so he was in bed by 7:30. He thinks the Flu shot that he got earlier today was to blame. He bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I got him a box of chocolates. We were both happy! =) We'll probably go out Saturday night to celebrate.  

Baby Bump - 19 weeks

I'm finally starting to "look" pregnant. I've been able to feel flutters for about two weeks now and they're definitely getting stronger and more noticeable. 

Jared likes to put his head on my tummy to "listen to the baby"... so cute! He's always checking my belly... "Yep, it's getting bigger!" =)

I'm going to schedule an ultrasound for week 20 or 21 so we can all see this little person in my belly. Jared thinks it's so cool to be able "see" the baby. It's so much fun to watch Jared throughout this whole process. He's going to be a great Big Brother!!!

First Snowfall of the Year

Jared was SUPER excited to see the snow this morning! He wanted to get the snowmobile and snowblower out... gonna need a little more for that! =)

Here are some pics that I took after we got home from daycare. I'm not sure where his snow boots are (or if they even fit!) so he's wearing his cowboy boots. Kinda hard to tell but it didn't seem to bother him... his feet were cold and sopping wet when I finally got him in the house. He was ready to go back out for more!!! 

Doctor Visit

Jared and I went to see Dr. Jorve today. I had an OB check-up and we both got the flu shot. Jared was pretty excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was at 156 and everything looks great! Getting the shot was not so much fun... I went first so he could see that it wasn't so bad. Then I thought he was good to go... and he was... until about 3 seconds after the shot went in and the stinging started. He freaked out and started crying and jumping around. The nurse and I couldn't help but laugh cause it was too cute. He was fine after a minute. Next time I should bring my video camera... he's such a card!   

Farming

Jared and I helped with fieldwork this afternoon. He likes to do a little bit of everything... combine, haul loads, plow... I could go on and on! Or should I say, he could go on and on... like the Energizer Bunny! =)

Halloween

We had a great Halloween! Jared was Frankenstein... he's into monsters lately so it was perfect... and cute! He got lots of treats... and had lots of fun! By 8:30 he was pooped out (so were Mom & Dad)! 

I also decided to dress up as a witch. Keith put on his scary "Monster" mask (as Jared calls it) for one quick picture.
