Happy Birthday, Daddy!

4/21/2010... We celebrated Keith's 32nd birthday by doing a little yard work. Just the way he wanted! He got a new fertilizer spreader for the lawn so the boys had to try it out. Chloe wasn't going to just sit by mom and watch... she had to get in on the action too.

Her first lawn mower ride. She didn't even flinch when I put the big ear muffs on. It was like she knew she had to wear them to get a ride.

Jared's called this "bailing hay".

4/18/2010... More playing with my camera at the farm. The kids were having fun playing outside so I got a few more fun shots. I have taken an enormous amount of pictures with my new camera... love it!!!

4/18/2010... I wanted to play with my new camera so I put Chloe in the wagon at the farm and got a few fun shots. Her new thing is to do the "Ooooh" thing with her mouth. What a little ham.

4/17/2010... It was a beautiful day so we decided to stop at Harman Park and play for a bit before we took lunch over to Keith. He was planting corn at the Helget farm that we rent (near Hanska).

Nicollet County Sheriff

I found a Sheriff shirt for Jared knowing that he would like it but he really cracked us up this morning when he came bouncing into the kitchen stating that he was a "Nicollet County Sheriff". He is NOT a morning person so this was a nice change!

We were waiting at the farm to help Keith move machinery so Jared got the Gator out. Chloe took off with her arm in the air squawking like "hey... pick me up!" Too cute. She even scolds him if he stops for too long.

38 weeks... 14 days to go!

Can you tell I'm ready?! I am, by far, the most uncomfortable I have ever been pregnant. I feel and look like a whale. Had to get out the support hose last week cuz the swelling is getting worse. I had to laugh the other night because my toes looked like little sausages. It's been so nice out and I want to play with the kids and do some gardening but that's next to impossible since it's a major effort to just put my socks on. Yeah... I'm a little owly but I guess that comes with the territory.
As for baby... he/she is doing great! As of last Friday I am dilated 2cm and the belly is measuring 39-40 (full term size). Doctor didn't mention inducing early but I will definitely be asking at this week's visit. No need to have a repeat of baby #1... Jared was 10 lbs. 6 oz.!
Other than being uncomfortable, I really can't complain. Blood pressure has always been nice and low, no morning sickness or any of the other not-so-fun pregnancy side effects. I still love to feel that little person wiggle and kick. Probably the only thing I will truly miss.
I really need to post another belly pic before the big day.

Chloe's 1st Birthday Party

We had Chloe's first birthday party last Sunday. The weather was great so we were able to have it outside which was so nice. The house tends to get crowded with all of the guests so this was a nice change. All of the kids had a great time riding bikes and playing. Chloe napped late so when she woke up everyone was waiting to see her. She was a little confused so it took a little while for her to get used to what was going on. Here are some of the pictures that I took... with my new camera. Still getting used to it but I definitely like it much better!

One Year Check-Up

Doctor Jorve said she looks great and is doing very well! Then the crappy part... shots... 2 in one leg and 1 in the other. I've never heard her cry like that. Breaks your heart to see them in that much pain. And then to top it off she had to go to lab to get her finger pricked for blood. It took the nurse forever to get the amount of blood that she needed to put in those tiny little viles. That was another screaming session. Poor kid! She was a trooper, though. Back to her happy self after a nice, long nap.

We are pretty much done with the bottle and she seems to not even notice so that's great! She drinks really well from a regular cup or sippy cup but the one thing that drives me nuts is that she throws her sippy cup when she's had enough or pounds it on her tray so the contents squirt all over. Then it's time to finger paint... mess all over the place and she always rubs her head and face too. Maybe she knows that's the ticket to get a bath every night. Her FAVORITE! That's one of the things that she takes off running for... bath time! It's funny to watch her face when she realizes that the water in the tub has been turned on. She stands there in the buff impatiently waiting to get in... even lifting her leg up like "If I could climb in I would!"

Oops...

I had a little oops with my camera last Sunday. We were outside doing the Easter Egg hunt and I dropped it (about an 8" fall) onto the cement while it was on. I was trying to pick up Chloe and the basket of eggs and with my massive belly... well, it just didn't work well.

So, I only have one picture of Jared with his Easter basket and have been using my phone to take pics of the kids (gator). Not a good thing since it's Chloe's birthday today and we have a big party tomorrow!

Good thing I'm going to the cities today for our annual Kral Girls Weekend shopping trip. I've been researching new cameras and think I know what I want. We'll see if I go for it or just get another point and shoot.

The funny part is that I've been hinting to Keith that I'd REALLY like a new camera for Mother's Day / Birthday so he said I probably dropped it on purpose! Well, it wasn't on purpose but it did work out well, didn't it?! =)

Gator

Jared gave Chloe her first John Deere Gator ride. She LOVED it!

She had one hand on the steering wheel at all times. I'm sure she'll be driving it as soon as she can reach the pedals! The battery died so we had to put it away and she was NOT happy about that.
