Front Porch Photo Shoot

Sunday, April 10th...

I wanted to have a nice picture of the kids on Chloe's birthday. It was chilly and windy outside so we snapped a few pics in the front porch.

Morgan was all smiles once the other two were gone...

I also needed a few pictures for her birthday party invites...

... so I took advantage of her happy mood!

The funny part (to me, anyway) is that it took place on the farm that we grew up next to. I guess the authorities weren't very impressed. Something about building a bomb that big is a felony. Oops!

Here's a pic that totally shocked me... but not really.

Ha!!! Leave it to Turd to be involved in unknowingly committing a felony while being completely sober! ;) I'm just disappointed that nobody called to let me know about it! We had to watch the video about 10 times. Jared thought it was awesome... especially the slow-mo... the roof takes forever to come back down!

Fun at Laura's

Wednesday, April 6th...

Laura and Derek have ducklings at their place so we had to go check them out. I was surprised how quickly they grow. I was picturing some tiny little palm sized things but they are almost full grown! It was a bit of a challenge to get them out of the crate but they finally caught one... he (or she?) was was soaked from running through the water dish so it was kinda gross but Jared didn't seem to mind.

Chloe wasn't so sure about this... she just wanted to look.

Ahhh... don't let it touch me!!! (lots of giggles)

Then we went down the hill to check out the creek that flooded.

And what was left of the bridge... not much. The beavers plugged the culverts so it overflowed and washed away all of the dirt.

Jared said that if he fell in it would be okay since it wasn't that deep. We had a good laugh because I'm sure he had no clue how cold the water was! The weather was really nice out that day so it's a little strange to see snow on the ground and he's wearing a t-shirt.

NUACS Grandparents Day 2011

Friday, April 8th...

NUACS K-8 hosted Grandparents' Day. The students performed for a gym full of grandparents. Jared's class did a parachute routine to music. I've been told they did a great job and were very entertaining.

Chloe's 2-year Check-up

Chloe went in for her well child exam with Dr. Jorve today. She's doing great and is still our little peanut! Here are her stats:

• 32.5" tall - 18.1%
• 23 pounds - 8.2%
• 18.25" head circumference - 22.2%
• 20.2% weight for length

Chloe turned 2 today!!!

We celebrated a little at the farm with cupcakes after brunch. We'll have both the girls' birthday parties on Morgan's birthday in May. Hoping for nicer weather by then. Chloe and I had a quick little photo shoot before we had brunch (she can be a messy eater... like gooey hair and all!) It was overcast and chilly but I got a few good shots. We're having professional pics of the kids done on the 22nd but I wanted to do a little something special on her actual birthday. Plus she was too darn ardorable all dressed up for church... and her special day.

Morgan got to join in on the fun. She LOVED the frosting... it was everywhere! Her bib says it all. 'happy to be me'!

Lily, Chloe, Brianna, and Ava (the 2 on the right were playing dress-up... in case you were wondering ;))

And then later in the evening Grandma Deb and Grandpa Jim came out to make Chloe's birthday extra special. They brought her a brownie cake, balloons and a few gifts!
