We started the weekend with the traditional Friday night egg dying contest at Roger & Patty's.
The kids' competition...
Jared made it to the finals and ended up getting 2nd place with the maroon and white egg on the end...
The adults competition was intense, as usual. My 2 eggs made it to the finals (back row,4th and 5th from left) but I ended up getting 2nd and 3rd.
These are the eggs. We used pieces if silk ties and wrapped them and then boiled them to transfer the pattern. It was something it saw on Pinterest. Kinda fun!
Saturday morning I took the girls to town for the Easter Egg Hunt at German Park. Chloe was a machine; filling her basket with all the candy she could grab. Morgan picked up 3 pieces of candy, dropped her basket by my feet and took off for the jungle gym. What a little stinker! They got to meet Snow White and pet real bunnies. Chloe wanted to bring one home but I was able to convince her that Dozer might think it was his Easter treat ;)
Easter Sunday was pretty low-key. We went to chuch, had brunch at Roger & Patty's and then came home to find all of the eggs the Easter Bunny hid around the yard. It's my most favorite part... all 3 of the kids get SO excited finding them. It was cool and windy but they had a blast!
Love them!!
