Cereal

Chloe has been showing great interest in food lately so we decided to start cereal a little early. (Supposed to wait til 6 months) She LOVES it! I can't get it in her mouth fast enough... it's too funny! I had to feed her with one hand and take pics with the other cuz she wouldn't let me stop long enough.

Splash Bomb

I found a water slide at Kmart on clearance for 75% off. Jared was SO excited! I figured we'd have to wait until next year to try it out but it was so nice last weekend that we had to get it set up. Thank god for air compressors! The whole thing inflates. The water was ice cold but he didn't seem to mind it! The video is pretty funny... he's always good for a laugh! =)

Random...

Keith and Jared took the "A" and the 2-bottom plow over to the annual Plow Fest at the Maidl farm on Labor Day weekend. There were about 20 tractors and plows going all day... boys and their toys!

Jared and I picked a ton of stuff from the garden. Started with just the box and quickly realized we'd need the wheelbarrow! All the ingredients for salsa and spaghetti sauce... yum!

This was too funny... I'd set her nuk on the Bumbo and she'd try to get it in her mouth without using her hands.

Finally realized it was easier using those hands!

State Pedal Pull

Jared qualified to go to the State Pedal Pull this summer when he got first place at the two pedal pulls he competed in. It was held at the Hutchinson Fairgrounds. The place was PACKED with pedal pullers and their families. The competitors go from 4 up to 11 years old. Then they seperate them into boys and girls. There were 61 4 year-old boys and about 20 4 year-old girls. We left after they were done so I have no idea what kind of numbers the other age groups had. Jared was #49 in line out of over 50 boys and he did well. They only announce the top 3 but we guessed he was in the top 10 for sure. Each kid got a medal and a can of pop for competing so Jared was pretty excited about that!

This was on display for the kids to play on. It's 4-wheel drive... crazy!
The older kids obviously use these.

Nick's Birthday Party

We went to cousin Nick Bleick's birthday party last Friday night in Nicollet. They literally have a city park in their backyard so that's always a hit!

1st Day of Pre-K

Jared started Pre Kindergarten on Tuesday, September 2nd. He's been pretty excited about it so that was a relief. We were a little worried that he'd have trouble sitting still and behaving ALL day but so far, so good! His teacher is Mrs. Hazuka and she seems very nice. He loves saying her name "Mrs. Hazuuuuka!"

Calves

We loaded up the calves and took them to the farm.

I was opening and closing the door on the cattle trailer for Keith when I heard Jared squealing from inside, "he's sucking on my ear!" So gross... but kinda cute. At least it wasn't me!

He gets the biggest kick out of this. I, on the other hand, was afraid they were gonna knock him over and trample him.
