Bunk Bed!

Monday, March 28th... The bunk bed was finally delivered! It was delayed due to the snow storm the week before so Jared was pretty bummed he had to wait. Even though it's for the girls, he decided that he was going to sleep on the top bunk. We aren't going to fight him on it. A few years from now he won't want to hang out with his sisters, let alone sleep on pink sheets with butterflies on them. Morgan is still in her crib so it's not like we need a spot for her right now anyway. The room is definitely at capacity with all of that furniture so it will be nice once we can get rid of the crib. I slept with Chloe on the bottom bunk last night so there were 4 of us in one room. Keith enjoyed a peaceful night to himself in our king size bed.
This is right after they were assembled.

More pics to come of the finsihed product.

Now I need to find some accesories (night table and lamps) to match.

I'm glad I went with the white instead of stained pine.

It's more girly and matches the room perfectly.

Next project is to fill the screw holes somehow so they don't stick out so much.

ECFE

March 24th...

Morgan and I go to ECFE classes every Thursday from 5 to 6pm. It's for infants 0 to 12 months old. I've done it with all 3 kids and really enjoy it. Morgan loves it! She's the oldest by a few months so it's fun to watch her play with all of the 'little' babies. The class is very small compared to Chloe's last year. There are supposed to be 6 or 7 babies but last week there were only 2 that showed up.

My aunt Lois calls this her carpenter stance...

We took a class picture since this is the usual group but we're missing at least 2.

Beef!

Saturday, March 12th...

I picked up our beef from Schmidt's Meat Market and Morgan wanted to try a beef stick. They were "hot" so I thought for sure she'd make a funny face and drop it but she loved it! Her face cracks me up...

Farm Show

Friday, March 11th...

We went to the Farm Show Friday night. The kids (all 4 of them) had a great time. Keith is like a kid in a candy store at these things. Jared got on just about piece of equipment they had on display.

Ben Beranek (daycare buddy) and Jared

Runnings had all sorts of creatures to pet and play with. Chloe did not want to touch anything, which surprised us since that's not how she usually is with animals. Keith made the comment, "she's not afraid of a 200 pound calf but she's scared of a baby chick." It was pretty funny.

At a safe distance... just looking.

Jared loved the bunny. And no, we are not getting one to take home! Sorry, bud.

9 months old!

This is LONG overdue but I thought I had accidentally thrown the paperwork from her doctor appointment away. Turns out it was just in a random folder in my big bag of stuff I don't look at very often. I've had this post just sitting here, waiting for the stats to be added from when I take her in for her 1 year so the picture goes with the date (in case you're wondering ;))

Monday, February 7th...

Morgan celebrated her 9 month birthday with a check-up with Dr. Jorve. She's doing great and everyone just loves her big blue eyes. Here are her stats:
  • Weight: 20lbs. 12oz. - 82.2%
  • Length: 28 3/4" - 87.4%
  • Weight for Length: 70%
  • Head Circumference: 18.5" - 99%
Had to add a few fun pics of her playing outside...

Fun on the potty chair

Wednesday, March 9th...
I was hearing lots of giggles coming from the bathroom and this is what I found...
Either Morgan somehow got herself on the potty chair or Jared helped her.
She thought it was hilarious! Now we just need to get her sister to use it.

As soon as the camera comes out, Chloe needs a picture (or 10) of her.
And then she immediately needs to come and see it.

CHEESE!

Awww... feel the love!

We want Spring!!!

Tuesday, March 8th...

The kids are getting impatient... and so are mom and dad! We took advantage of the nicer weather and enjoyed an early evening playing outside. The second Jared gets on the tractor Chloe comes running demanding a ride... "I ride"... "I ride!"

I don't think you have enough HP to make it through the snow, buddy!

Morgan was loving it too!

Jared found out it was a lot tougher to pedal it in the snow so he was trying to convince Chloe to pull her wagon back up to the house. Her look says it all... I don't think so!!!

SO Big!

Chloe is Morgan's "helper"...
Too bad she hasn't realized that she's technically the "little" sister! ;D

Bock Fest 2011

Saturday, March 5th...

Mom and I volunteered to work at Bock Fest again this year. I think we've been doing this for over 10 years already. Wow!

Here are a few fun pics from the day.

They've never been lined up this early!

I found a Bock! ;)

I went to the Armory later in the evening to party with the Blue Ringers. They rocked the house! Here's the very beautiful and talented Crista on the violin...

Pudding

Sunday, February 27th...

Chloe prefers to feed herself. Actually, she demands that she be able to feed herself. She usually does pretty well. But, not today!
Mmmmm...
Look at those eyelashes!

I think part of the problem is that she holds the spoon at the end. I try to show her how to grab it closer to the scooping end but she hollers at me and flings it so I just let her do it. Wonder where she gets the attitude?! ;)

Big Girl!

Sunday, February 27th...

Morgan has discovered her ability to pull herself up and stand by furniture. She's getting to be such a big girl! This picture makes me laugh because She looks so tall... my baby is getting too big too fast!

I love the jeans...

Grandma's Painting Project

Saturday, February 26th...

Grandma Patty has been wanting her upstairs hallway redone for years. This year we decided to do it for her birthday present. It was quite the project because there was some beautiful 70's era wall paper on the walls. The paper came off in a matter of minutes. It was the glue residue that was a pain to scrub off. Kelly put in a lot of hours scrubbing and prepping. I signed up for the painting end of it so my part was fairly easy. I love painting.
The color under the paper was a super bright neon green. Yowza!
Shari working on the trim...

It took 2 coats of primer to cover it...
And of course, Jared had to get in on the fun.
