Jared's Farm Yard

Keith built Jared a barn and machine shed over the winter. Then he brought in a load of gravel to make it a true 'farm yard'. Jared was super excited and had a blast helping daddy with the dirt work.

Lil' Farmer

5/13/2010... Chloe had on her cute bibs so I had to take a few pics.

Farmer Wave

For some reason, I think this picture looks like me when I was little.

Birthday Buddies

5/12/2010... We stopped to visit Peyton Wendinger since we were in Mankato test driving a minivan. He and Morgan were born on the same day. Then we all went to BW3's for lunch... yum!
5 days old
He was 7 lbs. 9 oz. Morgan was 9 lbs. 6 oz. and they were the same length. What a difference 2 pounds can make!

New Stroller

5/17/2010... Both of the girls got to try out the new stroller. Works great!

Mmm... Dirt

5/17/2010... We were getting the flower pots ready for planting. Chloe decided to do a taste test. It didn't even seem to phase her! Yuck.

"What?!"

Going home...

5/10/2010... We were discharged from the hospital and excited to get home. Morgan had lots of visitors at the hospital but since I'm SO far behind with updates you can check them out on our Shutterfly site.

Morgan wore the same going home outfit that Chloe wore.

Ready to go!

Morgan and Edith Albrecht. They were born on the same day and were next door neighbors. We left at the same time so we got to take a picture before getting into the elevator.

Chloe meeting her new little sister for the first time. She didn't get to come to the hospital because she was sick and had a fever. She wasn't too sure about this new little noise maker but she sure loves giving her head hugs. (She leans in and rests her head on your head like a hug... too cute!)

It's a GIRL!

Sorry for the delay. Things have been a little hectic... but in a good way. =)
May 7th, 2010... We were scheduled to be induced Thursday morning (the 6th). My due date was the 3rd and I was dilated to 4 cm but that day came and went... go figure. Then on Wednesday afternoon while shopping at Walmart, I got a phone call from Dr. Jorve. The OB department was full and there was a high risk induction that needed to be done on Thursday so I got moved to Friday. Wonderful. 24 more hours of being pregnant. At this point, I was more than ready to be done!
To make matters worse, Chloe was sick so it was tough for me to leave her for a few days.
Had to get a shot of her "riding the belly". Good thing she's such a peanut... it's a perfect fit!
A positive was the weather was cold and rainy so that made it easier on Keith. =)

We checked in around 7:15 and got settled in to the room. The nurse came and put in the dreaded I.V. The right arm was unsuccessful but it worked in the left. (The bruises lasted over a week) Surprisingly enough, I was having contractions so I was never induced. I got the epidural around 11:30 and the doctor came in around 12:30 to break my water. Holy cow! Usually it's a slow leak but not this time. I was dilated to 6 cm so that should have been the last step. Wrong. By the look on my doctor's face I knew something was wrong. She couldn't feel the head. The head has always been right there. I felt the top of my belly... crap! There was the head. She was breech. Since my water was already broken there was no chance of trying to turn her so they had to do a C-section. Crap! I knew there is always a chance of needed to have one but it was such a surprise. The epidural was already in so they just had to get me down to the operating room. I'm not sure who was more nervous, Keith or me. It all happened very quickly.

It's a girl!!! (Dr. Jorve and Dr. Khayat)

Baby Day!

5/7/2010... We were scheduled to get induced Friday... finally! Keith woke Jared up to get him dressed and he said, "Is it church day today?" and Keith said "No, why?" Jared said, "Because you have your church clothes on." Did we laugh! Keith usually has his work uniform on so he was a little confused. I told him that it was baby day today and he got a big smile on his face and started saying "It's baby day today, it's baby day today!"
Kinda fun to see how enormous I got this time. Ugh!
I think Jared grew a little. =)

Mommy's Helper

May 5th... I needed to pick up a few things at Walmart and Chloe wasn't feeling well so Jared volunteered to hold her while she slept. What a good big brother!
He's sitting on a case of Coke.

Bounce the Baby Out

5/1/2010... We brought Keith supper in the field and decided to do a round in the 4-wheel-drive while he ate. I told Jared that maybe we could bounce the baby out. He stared at me very seriously for a second pondering... then he smiled and said I was so silly!
Earlier the same day Chloe and I drove the 4-wheeler while Keith and Jared picked rocks. Neither activity worked... so much for the bouncing theory. =)

Bath Time

4/22/2010... Chloe LOVES bath time. I think I've mentioned this before but it still cracks me up every time. As soon as she hears the faucet turn on she comes running with a big smile.
I wanted to get a cute butt shot and was looking at the camera display and realized... wait a minute... I only see one leg. She was ready to climb in! That was a first.

Deciding which toys to throw in...

What else do I need?

Ok, that should be good. Time to get in!
