I have a few more gray hairs thanks to Morgan. I was mowing lawn with Chloe (Jared was in the house) and Morgan was cruising around the yard in the Gator. It was a pretty normal Saturday for us. It had been a little while since I had seen Morgan so I decided to check if she went in the house or was playing in the backyard. Nope. Nowhere to be found. I jumped on Jared's 4-wheeler and drove ALL OVER our 6 acres. Through the grove. Behind the grove. Everywhere. Panic... sheer panic! The corn was gone so I knew she couldn't be far. I also knew that she never leaves that Gator. She'll sit there with the wheels spinning if she's stuck. If the battery is almost dead, she'll limp that thing back to the garage even if it takes an hour to get there. I ran into the house to get Jared off the couch to come help me search for his sister. As I was running around, yelling her name I spotted the back tire of the Gator down by the shed. The fuel barrel and Keith's farm truck were blocking my view.
Hallelujah!!!
Hallelujah!!!
She was SLEEPING
Are you friggin' kidding me?! I was ready to call 911 and report a missing child and there she was just taking a nap on a nice Fall afternoon. I was so happy I cried. I think that took a few years off my life. Whew! :-/
