Christmas Eve 2011

Before we left for the evening church service in Lafayette, we had to make sure we had the house ready for Santa's arrival... just in case! Cookies and milk for Santa and hay on the driveway for the reindeer. Everyone needs a snack on such a busy night! ;)

The letter reads: "Dear Santa, There's a glass of milk in the fridge. Hope you enjoy the cookies. Merry Christmas and have a safe night. Love, Jared Chloe and Morgan"
I love that he added a little picture of Santa coming to our house. :)

Nine piles lined up in a row so they can land on the driveway and eat without having to unhook...

After church we headed to Terry & LaNaye's house for the Kral family Christmas.
Santa was in a hurry so he just pounded on the window and dropped off a bag of presents for the kids outside. Great Grandpa Kral handed out the gifts...

Jared was excited to get another Nerf gun...

(Morgan is on the left opening her gift)

Chloe hopped up on Great Grandpa's lap to have him help open her gift...

Our family picture...

Morgan was NOT in the mood to take a picture... she wanted to keep playing. :'(

The adults do a white elephant exchange and it's always entertaining to see what kind of crap treasures everyone brought...

Some of the great grandkids playing in the spare bedroom...
It's fun to see all of the kids play together just like we used to. =)

We got home a little before midnight and wouldn't you know it... Santa came while we were gone!
I recorded everything on my iPhone but it was pretty dark but the audio is priceless. When we came in the driveway we noticed that the piles of hay were messed up so we knew that the reindeer had enjoyed their snack. Jared jumped out of the van and shushed us. He swore he saw the tops of the evergreens moving and heard sleigh bells ringing (like we almost caught Santa!). When he came in the house and saw everything he shouted "It's true!!! Thank you, Santa!" Keith and I were cracking up! The pure joy on that little boy's face was absolutely priceless!!! The girls slept through it all and stayed sleeping while we put them in their beds so they missed all of the excitement.

The living room was full of presents that Santa brought us...

Jared's favorite was the JD Gator. Technically, it was for the girls but we didn't have the heart to tell him (can you tell he's a little too big for it?!)

Another highlight of the night... he lost another tooth! What a busy night... Santa and the Tooth Fairy were coming to our house!

This picture reminds me of the Home Alone Kid ;)

Santa enjoyed his snack and even left a note for us...

For those of you that are wondering how Santa showed up at our house while we were gone... Santa's elves (Grandma and Grandpa Beranek) came over and worked their magic. I think they enjoyed it just as much as we did! They did a great job!!!
